The typical varietal aromas of Plavac (plums, cherries and dark berries, natural herbs - immortelle and Mediterranean herbs) are rounded off by a shorter aging in used oak barrels, which gives the wine discreet notes of wood, coffee and spices. The specificity of the wine is in the softness and elegance that Bastijana achieves from this autochthonous Dalmatian variety (a very tannic variety, therefore prefers shorter and gentler macerations).
