The wine Plavac mali Platinum Edition has a deep ruby color. The aromas of ripe fruits such as blackberries, raspberries, chocolate and red and black pepper are predominant in the wine. A very complex body with soft tannins and nice acidity that gives a balanced and special wine.
This wine is produced only in exceptional years. Hand picking grapes during the night to preserve freshness and varietal aromas. The grapes are then manually sorted and gently crushed and transferred to tanks for maceration, which lasts 15-30 days, depending on the year and degree of extraction. The wine is then matured in one dry Croatian, French and American barrel in order to preserve the varietal aroma as well as possible. The wine matures for 18-24 months in barrels. After maturation, the wine goes into large wooden tanks for stabilization, and after bottling, it ages for a minimum of one year in the bottle before being put on the market.
