Komarna vineyard, the youngest vineyard in Croatia, altitude 72-132m. The composition of the soil is 50% limestone, which contributes to rich minerality and nutrients.
The grapes are harvested by hand during the night in order to preserve the acids and varietal aromas. Plavac mali has a high concentration of color in the skin, and because of this we have the challenge of making the rose color as light as possible. The temperature of the grapes is first lowered to 4°C, then they are gently pressed to avoid excessive color extraction. The result is very low yields, but high quality juice from Plavac mali.
The gentle side of the robust Plavac, a very gentle rose color with pronounced fruity aromas. Quite fresh on the palate with a distinct strawberry aroma.
